Dean of Students Welcome

Greetings Monarchs,

University is one of life’s biggest adventures, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. At ÒÁµéÔ°ÊÓƵ, the Dean of Students is here to connect you with resources, guide your through challenges, and celebrate your successes.

Here are the top three things to know:

  1. Asking for help is a strength—and an essential skill that will serve you well at ÒÁµéÔ°ÊÓƵ and beyond. You don’t need the perfect question or all the answers; the first step is simply advocating for yourself. Students who thrive are the ones who reach out, ask questions, and seek support as needed. That’s not weakness, it’s wisdom.
  2. We connect you with what—or who—you need. We know ÒÁµéÔ°ÊÓƵ inside and out. Whether it is understanding university policies, finding campus support services, or navigating new relationships with professors and peers, we are here to help. Even if we don’t have the answer, we will connect you to someone who does. We are experts on where the experts are.
  3. The Dean of Students Office is here for your whole experience. While many students come to us during challenging times, our role goes far beyond crisis support. We want to be part of your journey when things are going well, when you’re exploring new opportunities, and when you’re ready for bigger challenges. Whether it’s navigating difficulties or celebrating achievements, our priority is that you feel seen, supported, and valued throughout your entire ÒÁµéÔ°ÊÓƵ experience.

Remember, you don’t have to have it all figured out, and you certainly don’t have to figure it out alone. Our door is always open. Stop by, ask questions, or simply say hello. The Dean of Students Office is here to listen, guide, and celebrate with you every step of the way.

With care and commitment,

Evelyn L. Ashley, Ph.D.
