Reminder: LOIs and Other Early Submissions Must Be Routed Through Sponsored Programs
All Letters of Intent (LOIs), pre-proposals, whitepapers, and similar early submissions for external funding opportunities must be routed through Sponsored Programs prior to submission.
Routing LOIs through Sponsored Programs ensures appropriate institutional review and alignment with sponsor requirements, including review of budgets, institutional commitments, cost share/match, and required conflict of interest disclosures.
Faculty should contact the Sponsored Programs Pre-Award team at preaward@odu.edu (Silver Team) or RFHSCpreaward@odu.edu (Blue Team) as soon as an LOI submission is identified to allow adequate time for review and routing.
Following the standard institutional process is required for submissions to be advanced.
