Overview
The Geospatial Advisory Council (GAC) provides guidance on strategies, issues, and priorities related to University Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial hardware, software, and affiliated technologies. Academic/Instructional and Research geospatial assets include campus-wide software site licenses, Enterprise GIS systems, GIS teaching lab desktop hardware and software, virtualized computing resources (MoVE), GPS/GNSS and other field data collection hardware, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), and a wide array of specialized geospatial capabilities.
The GAC will hold formal meetings three times per year near the beginning of each academic semester. Council membership is open to all ÒÁµéÔ°ÊÓƵ full-time faculty and staff who have an interest in guiding the future direction of geospatial at ÒÁµéÔ°ÊÓƵ.
